The banks first method of disposing of these REO's is to auction them off either on the steps of the county court house or through a large liquidation wholesaler. Should you choose to go it alone, there are several steps you must take and you will want to gather a lot information before you begin to purchase a non-judicial foreclosure. 1) Arrange any financing you may need ahead of time. 2) Confirm auction status, location and bidding procedure. 3) Determine your bid amount. 4) Remember a bankruptcy, the IRS, the State, the County and even tenants still living on the premises are among things you may be responsible for.
